NOL Card Monthly Pass – Prices, How to Buy & Is It Worth It?
Complete guide to the RTA NOL card monthly pass — current prices for Silver and Gold class, step-by-step purchase and renewal instructions, pass coverage across all RTA modes, and a full cost comparison vs pay-per-trip travel.
What Is the NOL Card Monthly Pass?
The NOL card monthly pass is a 30-day unlimited travel subscription offered by RTA Dubai on the NOL card platform. Instead of paying individual fares per journey, the pass allows the cardholder to tap in and out of any RTA transport mode — metro, bus, tram, water bus — as many times as needed within the 30-day validity period, with zero per-trip deductions from the card's prepaid balance. The pass is activated on the purchase date and runs for exactly 30 calendar days. you can also check NOL card balance free
The monthly pass is available in two class tiers: Silver Class (standard cabins, standard bus seating) and Gold Class (Gold cabin metro access plus all standard modes). Both passes cover the full RTA network without zone restrictions — a single pass price covers journeys across all three fare zones (T1, T2, T3) with no additional charges regardless of journey length or frequency.

Is the NOL Monthly Pass Worth It? – Cost Comparison
The monthly pass value depends entirely on your commuting frequency. Using the Silver daily fare cap of AED 18 (the maximum you pay per day on pay-per-trip), the monthly pass at AED 350 breaks even after just 20 capped commuting days. Most working residents commute 22–24 days per month, making the monthly pass a clear financial winner for anyone who hits the daily cap regularly.
